The market displays a collection of cards. Each card represents a protocol and asset combination.
The range of rates below the asset name represents the lowest and highest rates possible depending on the maturity selected. Lila Finance currently offers three maturities: one month, three months, and six months.
Below the protocol name is the total value locked (TVL) in this particular card by Lila Finance users. This number. More popular cards will have a higher TVL, while newer cards will have lower TVLs.
Interest rates are updated weekly based on historical trailing average rates.
After selecting the preferred Asset/Protocol combination, users are taken to a screen where they can customize their position with a specific interest rate/maturity and deposit amount.
Building a position is fun and intuitive, but let's walk through it once.
Upon selecting a card on the market, users can select a maturity date of one, three, or six months. Each maturity date has a unique APY calculated by the historical average APY less a risk premium for earning a fixed rate. Users' collateral will be deposited into the specified yield-generating protocol for the duration of the selected time. Users will receive a payout every month (30 days) starting at the user deposit, regardless of the length of maturity, and receive their collateral on the final payout. Should a user want to sell their position and claim their collateral early, please visit Trading/Exiting a Position.
Selecting a maturity and APY updates the card, as seen in the picture above. Now, users can decide how much they would like to deposit. Clicking the "balance" rectangle will fill the "enter amount" rectangle with all funds of that asset type. Or, users can enter an amount themselves. Finally, hit "enter" on your keyboard to confirm.
The card on the left has been updated with your specified deposit amount. Before proceeding, confirm all the details of your position. Once ready, hit the "allow" button and sign the transaction in the wallet.
The "deposit" button will appear. Clicking it will ask for a confirmation transaction from the wallet. Once the transaction has been processed on the blockchain, the user is finished. They can view their positions in the portfolio tab at the top banner of the screen.
